What We Do

In collaboration with partners, development partners and other stakeholders, BLiTS undertakes and implements interventions which focus on addressing constraints which hinder societies to exploit fully the resources available for their economic wellbeing.

Limited Access to Finance

Affects working capital and limits expansion, production and productivity

Limited Access to Technology

Such as irrigation and mechanization, limits economies of scale in production

Inadequate Knowledge

In important aspects of farming as business, market information and linkages

Low Entrepreneurship Skills

Makes farmers remain poor and dependent on traditional methods

How We Address These Challenges

01

Input Financing

We facilitate farmers to easily access input financing through linkages, improving inputs supply chain, and creating business opportunities for young males and females.

02

Farmer Organizations

Formalizing farmer organizations to become business units and linking them to markets to ensure efficient loan servicing.

03

Technology Access

We support and link farmers to access technology such as irrigation, mechanization facilities, exhibitions, and exchange visits.

04

Mindset Change

Giving farmers opportunities to exploit economies of scale in production and change their mindset on farming.
